TRAUMA

Trauma is something everyone experiences in some way. It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small, visible or invisible. What happens to us and what deeply affects us can continue to follow us as if it’s happening in the present. Sometimes we notice it consciously, sometimes it works quietly in the background without us even realizing it. It can shake us, make us question ourselves, and show up in ways we don’t always understand. But the effect is often the same: it can make life harder and dim our happiness.

This blog exists to remind you that you are not alone. I may not have had the same experiences as you, but know that we all carry a backpack of our own. Whether we fully understand each other or not, we can find warmth and support in one another.

This isn’t about comparing whose experiences were “worse.” It’s about recognizing that you carry something that makes you sad, angry, or unsettled. Acknowledgment is the first step toward healing. It’s okay to admit it. You don’t need to minimize it. Your feelings and your experiences matter, because this is your life.

You are not alone. You don’t have to have all the answers, and you don’t have to move at anyone else’s pace. Be patient with yourself. Seek support if you need it — from friends, professionals, or communities. Sharing your story, or simply knowing you’re not the only one, can be the first step toward healing.

Trauma is part of many human stories, and acknowledging it is part of reclaiming your own. You are seen. You are valid. You are not alone.
